Director – Colin D. Buckland
Together with his wife Lorna, Colin founded the Claybury Trust, which now operates under its new name of Claybury International. At the time Colin was serving as a Baptist minister in London and has served churches in the London area as a pastor for 22 years. Since 1998 Colin has been the full-time director of Claybury, serving as principal trainer and consultant. Colin now spends a great deal of his time carrying out the work of Claybury International around the world and has more than 20 years experience in this field.
Operations Director – Lorna A. Buckland
Lorna co-founded the Claybury Trust with her husband Colin in 1993 and serves as the operations director, focused on maintaining the organization and the fulfillment of all of its functions, alongside engaging in training, consulting and counselling. Since 1997, Lorna has been engaged full-time providing these services for Claybury International in the UK and around the world and now has more than 20 years experience in this field. Lorna and Colin have four adult children who are busy expanding the Buckland clan.
Office Manager and Administrator - Janet Waddell
Janet began working for Claybury in the autumn of 1998. Having started as an administrative assistant, she now serves as both office manager and administrator. Janet is often the first point of contact for anyone wishing to communicate with the Claybury International. Married to Mike, Janet has two children in their teens Anna and Philip. Having worked professionally in the field of event management, Janet brings to Claybury these important organizational skills.
Academic Coordinator and Fundraiser - Pauline L. Eyles
Pauline began working for Claybury in the autumn of 2002 as a Fundraiser having
proved herself in the field, raising funds for non-profit activities. As Claybury
grew and developed its academic track (this information is available on this
site under Services -- Training) Pauline extended her activities and became our
Academic Coordinator. Pauline is the main contact for all funding and academic
details and can be contacted via pauline@claybury.com Pauline, married to Peter
has three adult children, one son and two step daughters.
Associate - Tony Watson
Tony has over 30 years experience in management in the public sector. His varied career has included periods in training management and community relations, and he is currently a senior manager in the Prison Service. He also has over 20 years experience in church leadership as a deacon, elder, preacher and worship leader. He has been assisting Claybury on a voluntary basis since 2006.
Prayer coordinator - Sue Watson
Sue has been a Christian for nearly 40 years. Her father was a Baptist Minister and her aunt a missionary in Japan, so she well understands the needs of Claybury’s clients. She is a qualified teacher currently working as a private tutor ; she is also a qualified counsellor to ACC Level 2 and is now following the Diploma course. She is active in many areas of church life, but particularly children’s work, and is passionately committed to prayer.
Sue and Tony have two grown-up children who are full-time students and who are both committed Christians.
Associate - Rachel Picton
Rachel began working for Claybury International as an Associate in April 2007, having been introduced to Colin and Lorna at a time when she felt God calling her strongly to use her gifts and talents in new areas of service, embracing leadership and strategic development in the Christian arena. Previous roles have covered management in the NHS, missionary service in Cameroon, leadership of over 60 professional groups via networks, training and development and management consultancy. She most enjoys helping and seeing others reach their full potential and to finding new and fresh ways of doing things!
Rachel has been married to Andrew for 16 years and they have 3 children (Aimee, 14, Joshua, 10 and Bethanie,3) Andrew is a Baptist minister and so Rachel can fully appreciate the many unique needs of pastors’ wives.
Associate - Andy Gilbert
Andrew began working with Claybury International as an Associate in October 2007 having chosen to leave a career in the financial services industry. He was introduced to Colin and Lorna whilst at a meeting at Spurgeons College to discuss how he might use his gifts and talents to support christian leaders and mission agencies. Andrew has worked for more than 13 years supporting with leaders from various functional backgrounds, developing them as coach, trainer, facilitator and consultant. A fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development with an MSc in Organisational Behaviour, he is passionate about supporting individuals and teams to use their gifts and talents to greatest effect, helping them to understand their potential through the use of various tools.
Having trained at Bible college in his early 20’s Andrew has been a member of church leadership teams, treasurer and lay preacher for over 20 years. He has been married to Jan, a driving instructor, for 23 years and their son Philip (18) is currently training as a hairdresser.
